Tango Dancing

Tango can be danced in the traditional way to traditional tango music in a close embrace, but it can also be danced in a more open frame to virtually any music that you love! At City Dance, we feel that the Argentine Tango is the easiest dance to learn and the most versatile and fun of all the dance styles.  Jens and Heather have trained extensively in the USA and Mexico to perfect their tango skills and enjoy both teaching and performing it as often as possible!

Swing Dancing

Swing Dance is a group of dances that developed with the swing style of jazz music in the 1920s-1940s, with the origins of each dance predating the popular “swing era”. Today, the most well-known of these dances is the Lindy Hop, which originated in Harlem in the early 1930s. We offer entertaining and invigorating swing dance classes in East Coast Swing and West Coast Swing.

Country Dancing

Country Dance refers to any of a large number of social dances of the British Isles in which couples dance together in a figure or “set”. The term applies to dances in line formation, circle dances, square dances and even triangular sets for three couples. However the most common formation is the “longways” set in which men and women form two lines facing each other. Country dance styles are a great way to have fun, get your exercise, and socialize, while learning how to dance the 2-Step, Triple 2-Step, Polka and Night Club 2.
